We are asked every week for the recipes from our weekly free community meals put on each week here in Northwest Indiana.
We happily give them out to our guests who ask for them. It’s the highest compliment!
We’d also love to share them with you while also helping to raise the funds necessary for our 2027 expansion projects.
Each meal is vegetarian, nutritious, but most of all flavorful and delicious.
When we cook these meals with love in the Feed the Region kitchen, we know that they’ll be eaten by people going through things as heavy as hunger, job loss, or grief; as well as neighbors dealing with the build up of more common stressors like being overworked or having caregiving overwhelm. Ever worked mandatory doubles while raising kiddos? Sheesh! We just want to give our neighbors a break!
Our meals delivered by neighbors who love them. Whether it’s because they’re family, they’re community, or they’re simply humans currently going through the rough life things we all know in one way or another.
When you cook them in your own kitchen with love for your family, friends, and neighbors, you can be assured you’re not only feeding them, but feeding them well! These meals are designed for maximum comfort but also balanced to feed our people things we all need: protein, fiber, varied vitamins and minerals. They’re designed to be shared widely and spread out over the week if needed. Each meal can be reheated nicely. Whether it’s for lunch the next day, or from frozen.
